Deep amongst the trees, set atop a maze of hedges of green, you will find yourself lost in a world of other people's security blankets. Be it toys from their childhood, a bible, pills of all types, candy, the floor plan of a cruise ship, tea bags, or other items that bring a sense of security, your senses will be overloaded with the urge to know more about the people behind the items. At the same moment, you will want to curl up with those things you have at home that bring you a sense of security. Chang-Jin Lee brings us her Homeland Security Garden, a collection of "safety kits" that she assembled from items that were given to her. These items represent each donor's personal sense of safety, while the maze of the garden illustrates the complexities of the world. Homeland Security Garden is should be viewed by everyone, especially this weekend as the country remembers the tragedy of 9/11 and gropes in the dark to deal with the disaster in New Orleans.
