Headless Horesmen Haunted Hayrides.

posted Sunday, 23 October 2005

Friday night I went with two friends to Headless Horseman Haunted Hayrides near New Paltz. We had a lot of fun. The construction that these guys have done over the 13 years of operation is pretty impressive. The hayride is fun, with a great story about the Van Tassel Mountain Resort. I won't give anything away, but be ready to be chased by spooks. After the hayride you still have a haunted corn maze and two more haunted mansions to make your way through. Each has it's own set of creatures and things that go bump in the night. If you can still get tickets, don't miss this annual event. Just be warned, you may have to wait a while for the hayride to start. They were running about an hour behind when we arrived. But once you get moving, the lines for the rest of the haunted houses were not as bad. Remember to dress WARMLY as there is a lot of time spent outside.
