For all you Poe people

posted Sunday, 15 January 2006

I love the works of Edgar Allen Poe, but I will be in Vegas!  (Watch for some reports from Sin City.)

Metropolitan Playhouse Proudly Hosts Performers from Around the  Country in:

Poe-Fest

A two-week festival of new theatrical oddities (and not so) inspired by the life and works of Edgar Allan Poe. Poe-Fest includes performances from musicals to monologues, dances to diversions, jokes to jousts with E. A. Poe. Some are based on Poe's work, others are  inspired by his life, and still others are just Poe-ish, but together  they are a feast of the macabre master. Additionally, each evening of  the festival will lead off with a reading or recital of one of Poe's  works, including his unfinished play: Politian.

Poe-Fest is divided into seven different performances (the Vaults),  each comprised of from one to three presentations. All in all, the  Festival includes thirteen performances. Of course.

Check website for complete festival schedule.
