Empanada Mama

Empanada Mama is located in Hell's Kitchen on 9th Avenue near 51st Street.  It is a fairly new addition to the area, and a good place to get something quick and fun when you are hungry.  While they may not be the best empanada's you have ever tasted, they are not too bad and fairly cheap.  I also tried their tamales, but I wasn't impressed.  Stick with the empanadas.  Overall, this is a great alternative to going to a fast food place when you are in a rush.  Why support McDonald's or Friday's when there are so many exciting restaurants to try in Manhattan?
