Blood Manor in NYC

posted Friday, 21 October 2005

Blood Manor is a haunted house that has been located out on Long Island for a number of years.  This year, the creators decided to open at a second location in Manhattan. I dared to enter that location.

I had little expectations for a haunted house in NYC. It has to be difficult to find the space and man power to run such an operation here in Manhattan. Luckily, Blood Manor was better than I thought it might be. The displays are fun, there are some good jumps, and a few good effects. Overall I enjoyed it, but it is a little short.

However, if you can get upstate, you can get more for your money. For the same price, a trip through the Headless Horseman Haunted Hayride is a better value. However, you have to get up by Poughkeepsie and a car is required to get there. I will give a full report on this years version on Monday. If you can't get upstate, head over to Blood Manor and have a great time.

Blood Manor is located at 542 W. 27th Street between 10th and 11th Avenues.
